Restrictive covenants

Restrictive covenants are commonly found in employment contracts and are used to protect the employer's business by restricting the activities of an employee, normally after the employment has ended.

Senior employees may have knowledge and client contacts which can be used in a way that can hurt businesses after they leave.  It is vital therefore that contractual arrangements between a business and its senior employees contain the necessary restrictive covenants.  We can help put in place covenants tailored specifically to your business.  Where a former employee breaches a restrictive covenant we can advise you on your options and will act quickly with a view to preventing your business from suffering any loss.

We also advise employees on restrictive covenants in their contract of employment before they sign it, or where they are already employed but wish to leave their employer.
