Advocacy

We provide advocacy in civil and criminal matters in all courts where solicitors have rights of audience.  These include cases in the High Court, the Crown Court, the County Court and the Magistrates Court.  Instructing the solicitor who is familiar with your case to represent you in court can avoid the potential extra cost and duplication of work involved in using a barrister.

We can offer advocacy in many of the areas identified in these pages.  The firm’s senior partner Andrew Gregg has 40 years’ experience in advising and representing individuals and organisations in a diverse range of matters including:

  • Business crime
  • Disputes with HM Revenue & Customs
  • Appealing decisions of public bodies
  • Health and safety at work
  • Environmental law
  • Food law
  • Licensing
  • Motoring and road transport
  • Inquests

Andrew is frequently used as a first port of call for unusual problems of which no other local firm has experience.  In matters falling outside his own knowledge he is able to direct clients to a suitable expert from his national network of contacts.

Our specialists in these areas are Andrew Gregg, Richard Gore and Ken McEwan.
