Resolution Accreditation

Sally Orme, an associate in our Family Department has been re-accredited by Resolution.

Resolution’s 6,500 members are family lawyers and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Members follow a Code of Practice that promotes a non-confrontational approach to family problems and encourages solutions that consider the needs of the whole family - and in particular the best interests of children.

“I am a collaborative lawyer and I encourage my clients to work towards the best resolution for the long term benefit of family members.

In my practice I try to steer my clients through the rocky road of divorce in a collaborative and non-confrontational way. I encourage them to put the needs of their children first. I ensure that clients are well informed of all the options available to them, for example family therapy, mediation and round table discussions. Not only to protect the needs of children, but also to make the divorce process less stressful and less costly.

By getting my Resolution accreditation for the third time (it must be renewed every five years) clients can be assured that I am up to date and actively practising the principles of Resolution. It confirms my specialism in Advanced Financial Provision for high net worth families, and in Private Children’s Law.

Exploring collaborative choices means people can keep control over their family affairs without handing that control over to the court. That’s not to say that litigation is always avoided, but that it is only chosen as the course of action if all other avenues have been explored.”
