The Internet of Us: What does privacy mean in the Digital Age?

For our second GL Business Network event the Gregg Latchams’ Digital Media & Technology team invite you to join them for an afternoon exploring and debating one of the pivotal social issues of our generation: the meaning of privacy in the Digital Age.

Following an opportunity to network over lunch, award-winning television news journalist Geoff White will show how the global technology industry harvests data leaking from personal devices through a live, interactive phone hacking stage performance. He will also take us inside the dark web, the hidden network of websites where a parallel black market in personal data is thriving.

Finally, there will be ample opportunity to debate the issues led by a panel of experts including Geoff White, GL’s resident legal techie Ed Boal, Dr Glenn Parry, Associate Professor at UWE and Emily Taylor, world-renowned expert in Internet Law, Governance & Technology – click here to meet the panel.
