Gregg Latchams’ Bristol solicitors are delighted to have taken part in The Bristol Legal Walk yesterday evening (Thursday 16 May). The Bristol Legal Walk is a sponsored 10k walk around Bristol city centre which raises money and awareness for Access to Justice causes. The walk is organised by The South West Legal Support trust, which supports legal advice centres who give free advice to the poorest and most vulnerable in our community, giving them access to the help that they need. The Trust does an amazing job assisting organisations that prevent homelessness, resolve debt problems, provide care for the elderly, and help women and children who have been trafficked for domestic servitude or prostitution.
Gregg Latchams’ Bristol solicitors who made up the team of walkers were Shabnam Komayli, Emma Jones, Henry Nelson-Case, Laura Dodds, Heledd Wyn, Rose Squire, Rachel Pritchard, Jennifer Hargreaves and last but not least our mini Gregg Latchams recruit baby Henry. They were joined by other law firms, barrister chambers, government departments and others from the judiciary.
There was a sizeable turn out and it was a great evening walking around the sights of Bristol, a particular favourite of ours being the Wills Memorial Building, which houses Bristol University’s school of Law and the school of Earth Sciences and is considered to be one of the last great Gothic buildings to be built in England – truly something that makes us proud of our wonderful city.
The evening was rounded off with a celebratory drink at the end, which gave a second wind to the flagging participants and was greatly appreciated by all. We would like to take this opportunity to thank The South West Legal Support for organising such a great event.
Gregg Latchams raised £230 in total and donations are still open. If you would like to make a donation you are still able to by clicking here.
